Our primary responsibility lies in Protecting Lives and property from fire.

With the close proximity to interstate 80 and having several manufacturing and storage facilities close by, Hazardous material responses are another set of tasks we must perform.

Our fields are used by the Big Pocono Little league group. Over the years many a kid has played on these fields. Even as adults we still remember.

Our company has a very active fire police unit that provides not only assistance inside the township but also is very involved in protecting Monroe county. You will see our members at fires, accidents, parades and special events.

Even firefighters sometimes need help. We provide services to our surrounding fire companies being prepared at a moments notice to provide rescue assistance.

Our Services

Our rural area does present us with challenges with respect to brush and wild fires. The areas around housing are abound with vegetation. This make for a beautiful setting. Removing the dead vegetation around your home is important.

Each year the members of the Pocono Township Vol. Fire Co. go out to our elementary schools and present a fire safety presentation to our kids. The events include presentations, discussion and fire safety tips to return home with.
